About RoseGuard
Reflexive Intelligence for safer, more transparent and human-centered healthcare AI
Our Story
RoseGuard was born from a long-standing curiosity about how humans and artificial intelligence can make decisions — not just individually, but together. Five years ago, Rikard Rosenbackebegan his PhD research in decision science, exploring how uncertainty, cognition, and technology intersect. What fascinated him most was not what AI could do on its own, but how people respond, adapt, and sometimes misinterpret its behavior.
Around three years later, Victor and Carljoined the same research environment. They shared a conviction that AI’s greatest potential — and greatest risk — lies in its interaction with human judgment. What started as late-night discussions around cognitive bias and medical reasoning quietly evolved into the foundation of what would later become RoseGuard.
Since then, we have refined, tested, and continuously challenged both ourselves and the systems we build. Our guiding metaphor is simple: building a great AI is like building a Formula 1 team. You need an extraordinary engine and a finely tuned machine — that’s the AI — but without a skilled and attentive driver, the car goes nowhere. Human reasoning remains the driver. Our mission is to make both work together at full potential.
The Founders
Victor Rosenbacke
B.Sc. in Economics (Lund University). With a background in health economics and financial systems, Victor brings a precision-driven mindset to RoseGuard’s validation structure and regulatory strategy. Currently a medical student, he bridges the analytical rigor of economics with the empathy and complexity of clinical reasoning — a rare combination that defines RoseGuard’s interdisciplinary approach.
Rikard Rosenbacke
Ph.D., Copenhagen Business School. With over 30 years of experience as a senior analyst and strategist, Rikard specializes in decision science — from financial modeling to cognitive AI systems. His work focuses on the interface between human reasoning and machine interpretation, laying the theoretical foundation for RoseGuard’s Reflexive Intelligence framework. A lifelong advocate for analytical integrity and ethical AI.
Carl Rosenbacke
Medical Student & former Industrial Engineering major. Carl combines early academic experience in quantum mechanics and engineering with a deep interest in human cognition and medical decision-making. His technical curiosity and clinical focus contribute to RoseGuard’s balance between scientific precision and real-world applicability.
